I know we’re not supposed to pick favorites, but there’s just something about spring flowers that makes them better than the rest. The fragrance & fluffy ruffled petals just kill me, especially coupled with sheer desperation for any living plant after a long, cold winter.
Mallory wanted English garden style, so we got extra special ‘Golden Mustard’ garden roses & combined them with ranunculus, Iceland poppies, sweet peas, and the last of the lilac to create one of my favorite bouquets ever. Lilac season is very short so if it’s one of your favorites, mid-May to early June is when it’s typically blooming in coastal Southern Maine.
