Floral Recipe: 100 stems of daffodils in mixed shapes & colors, a few strategically placed stems of hyacinths, twiggy branches for contrast & arching lines. Rectangular vessels fitted with floral frogs makes putting together runner-style arrangements like this a breeze. Here I’ve used 3 and placed them flush together, but even just one on the table would make a statement.
Table Linens: 1 Dove cotton runner, 1 Smoke organza silk runner, Creme Brûlée cotton napkins.
Don’t sleep on linens! I love table runners for the dimension they add to the table and the anchoring effect they have for flowers & candles. Using cool grays echoes the tones in the centerpiece vessel and the tapers, and layering the organza over the cotton gives the table an ethereal feel. Creamy colored napkins add in some warmth without throwing off the color scheme.
Candles: I typically always use a mix of tapers, pillars, and votives/tea lights when setting the table. Thinking beyond classic whites & creams can elevate your color palette & make everything feel extra special.
These taper holders are great because they double as tea lights & the pleated glass pairs with just about everything. Colored votives are an easy way to add a little drama & visual interest. These & these are probably my most frequently used because they work with a variety of color palettes but feel free to have some fun with your choices.
Place Setting: Shopping secondhand is easily the best way to curate an interesting collection of plates & serve ware that you can tailor to different aesthetics without breaking the bank. The black ceramic & smoked glass plates helps add a moody vibe to an otherwise bright table and the rose gold flatware gives a nod to the peachy daffodils.
